Scorton railway station : ウィキペディア英語版 | Scorton railway station
Scorton railway station (North Yorkshire) was a railway station in what is now the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The village of Scorton is situated around half a mile from the site of the station. ==History== The station was once part of the Eryholme-Richmond branch line, built by the York and Newcastle Railway in 1846. Like most of the infrastructure of the line, Scorton station was built in the Tudor Style. The Richmond branch line survived the Beeching cuts of the early 1960s, but closed only a few years later in 1969. At this time Scorton station was also abandoned and sold.
